| Sherman is a Red Belly. His hatch date is April 29, 1998. Red bellies are in the Poicephalus family of African parrots with Senegals and Meyers. I got Sherman when I went to the breeders to buy pellets for Noah. It's an hour away and I had driven there to save the cost of shipping, haha. It would have been cheaper to stay home! I fell in love with him instantly. These birds are little clowns and love antics. They are very playful and agile. He loves to be held and scratched. He doesn't really talk yet, just mumbles. I'm not sure, but I think he says "hello" :-) |

| Guess what??? Sherman has molted a few times and he's a SHE! As you can see in this most recent pic (above, right), her little red belly is gone (sigh). I didn't change her name because she will always be Sherman to me. I still catch myself saying "good boy". Jean Pattison (the African Queen) helped me confirm Sherman's sex. |
